My Students

Say yes to David Shannon! Help my students become interested in their writing and illustrations. David Shannon is a wonderful author and illustrator. His books inspire children to create their own wonderful writing and illustrations.

I teach first grade in a rural area.

The students aren't exposed to a lot of books outside of the classroom. I have found that David Shannon gets the students minds going. The students enjoy the No, David! book. I want them to see all that David Shannon has to offer. Not only is he a writer, but also an illustrator. I want my students to create masterpieces just like David Shannon. The best part about his books is they are on a first grade level. There are other wonderful authors out there, but the students can't read their work individually.

My Project

By having the David Shannon books I will be able to have an author study on David Shannon.

The David Shannon author study will include reading and writing curriculum.
