My Students

We're all about recycling, but our second hand art supplies are really holding us back!

My students range in age from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.

Although we are a suburban district, my school can be considered rural by many standards. I am the Music Teacher at my school. Unfortunately, with the many budget cuts, we do not have a certified Art Teacher at my site. So... since I have a background in Visual Art, I am the Art Teacher, too!

My Project

Since we do not have a certified Art Teacher, we do not receive a budget for Art. Therefore, all the supplies we have (including: crayons, scissors, glue, markers, paper, paints, and brushes) are actually the end of the year leftovers from the regular classroom teachers. Pretty much every supply is in second hand shape.

Previously, I was concerned with the QUANTITY of Art supplies.

Please don't make my students suffer any longer due to budget cuts! Help us improve in our Art with QUALITY supplies!
