What Came First the Chicken or the Egg?

My students need 12 items including a telescope, science games, discovery tubes, books, science bags, markers, and a set of learning centers that all focus on science.

My Students

Science becomes a true love when you experiment and learn from doing it.

I teach at a military base where all of my students' parents serve in the Army.

We are a Title One school, with over 80% of the students on a free or reduced lunch. My class consists of 2nd graders who are always wanting to learn and do more.

My Project

The selection of materials I have chosen include books, activities they can do as a group, and kits that they can do individually. Fostering the desire to want to learn more is expensive. They will be able to ask the question WHY? and then experiment to try and answer their own question, hopefully to foster more questioning.

Please help bring these materials to my class so they can form a true love for science.

Second grade is a very vital age. This is the time that they can either come to love science or hate it. Please help me make them love it!!
