My Students

"Never, Never, Never Give up!" This quote from Winston Churchill is largely familiar with my students. It is a mindset they apply to everything they do. It is a quote they must say everyday.

My students are creative, hard workers.

They don't have the best resources in the world due to circumstances beyond their control. This is what drives their creativity. Twenty-first century learners crave for technology to be incorporated into their lessons. The common methods of learning and teaching have changed and as educators we have to keep up with the trend. Teaching with technology in mind will help me to prepare my students for college. It will give them the interaction with technology that they will need to be a contender for college, military, or any career path they choose.

My Project

At my inner-city school, many students rarely interact with compelling technology. I plan on having students create auditory and visually engaging projects through the use of a Mac book pro and the family pack. I would like for students to read 19th century literature and create a compelling rendition of what they've read using the movie maker. I would like for students to create a soundtrack for a novel they've read with the music maker. Through current technology on the Mac book, I can provide this opportunity. Using this laptop and software, I can give cross curricular assignments that will enhance instruction not for my English class but for all of their subjects.

With your generous donation I can provide a quality education for students who are unable to get the resources they need due to lack of finances.
