This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine be responsible for creating a 45 minute presentation and not having the appropriate resources to organize and present the material.

I teach in a small progressive High School in urban Rhode Island.

I am responsible for all facets of the learning of a group of 15 students throughout all four years of their high school experience. Our school population is 73% minority, with 65% of our students eligible to receive free or reduced lunch.

My Project

Students are assessed on their academic progress through quarterly exhibitions. The ability of students to have access to a projector would allow them to improve the quality of their presentations. It would give them the ability to build in charts/graphs, and slide shows that illustrate key concepts of their presentations.

This project will have a profound impact on the ability of the students to present their work in a concise and meaningful way.

It will also inspire them and help support their level of confidence in utilizing technology to improve their educational experience
