My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you couldn't put down? My students need a fun reading series on their reading level to encourage them to read.

My students have a lot of personality, but they hate reading.

The Hank Zipzer series is appealing to both the girls and the boys. The books are full of humor and real life experiences that kids can relate to. I know reading the first book in the series will hook my kids on the series.

My Project

The novel set I am requesting was written by Henry Winkler. The stories are based on events from his childhood. The main character Hank tries in school, but something always goes wrong. Hank has a different way of looking at things and kids can really relate to him.

I have several copies of other books in this series in my classroom library.

A class set of the first Hank Zipzer book would inspire my students to read more and get hooked on a series that is on their reading level rather than below.
