Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How would you feel if you were a 6 year old trying to juggle 6 or 7 books in your small little hands?!

My students attend a title one school.

That basically means that we have a lot of poverty stricken students in our school. We have lots of teachers that care here and a great school, but these kids don't have a lot - which makes it even more fun to give to them, because they are so appreciative!

My Project

My students will be able to keep all of their leveled books in their own personal book boxes. We have cardboard book boxes right now, but most of them have fallen apart and had to be thrown away, or are so taped up that they only have a few days left in them! With these nice, plastic organizers for their books, the students won't have to worry about their books falling out of the bottom, or the box tearing.

This would make such a difference in the environment in my classroom.

My students having their OWN personal things makes them feel so valued and important. You would be instilling self worth in them if you choose to donate to this project!
