My Students

My students come from mostly lower-income homes. They have very limited learning opportunities due to their socioeconomic status. I bring many different elements to the library with me, but many more are needed. It is my goal to open their minds for learning.

My students are kind and loving.

Despite growing up in a community that is historically low-socioeconomic, they are excited about learning and reading. Having a new library with new library books is very rewarding, but it's not everything that my students need. We need learning resources to go with our books. Puppets, models, stuffed animals .... The library, although beautiful, lacks some of the things that are most conducive to learning.

My Project

I've requested many different types of puppets to open my students to a variety of different experiences through storytelling. It is imperative to their learning and development that these experiences are available. Your help in opening up the world of learning to my students will enable them an unmatched opportunity.

These puppets will allow my students to experience a variety of activities and meet & exciting people.

This will create a wonderful worldview and a sense of adventure. Thank you for your interest in this project.
