Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever dreamed of seeing yourself on the "big screen"? Don't you think using a Flip video recorder would be a great way for children to record some of what they usually just put on paper?

I teach first grade in a high needs district in New York.

For many of my children, school is the only place they can really experience the fun and joy of learning free of any external worries. Making learning fun and exciting is a challenge I take seriously.

My Project

The flip recorder can be used to enhance many of our projects. Children can become "reporters" and "recorders" sharing responsibility to inform their classmates, schoolmates and parents. Book reviews, current events, interviews, and parent opinions can now be shared with the class via the Flip recorder. Students taking weekend trips or day excursions can bring it back to the class for a virtual field trip. These are only a few of the ways a flip recorder would enhance our learning!

I want to give my children an experience that makes them bound into class, excited to learn and motivated to try their best.

I want to give them more than just a teacher in front of the room with a manual and blackboard. Won't you help motivate and excite my children??
