Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working as an art teacher is an amazing job. Having quality supplies and the key tools make my lessons possible and educational. My students work hard and deserve the best I can give them. Your donations are so important to a well rounded education.

Our school is located in the poorest area of NYC.

The students live in the surrounding housing projects and most receive free lunch. Despite their disadvantage they come to school every day with a smile on their face and eager to learn. Our school is full of hard working teachers that help the students achieve their best and stay on track with city and state expectations.

My Project

As the art teacher I work with the students two or three times a week. I work with the classroom teachers to make connections in the classroom and the art room. The materials requested will make these projects possible and enrich the students experience. The dry erase boards will be used for writing and illustration project and for a math game using patterns and shapes. The other supplies will be used for maintaining continuing lessons.

I love watching their faces as I explain how Donorschoose works and that people they don't know care about them and their education. Our schools are suffering but I can assure you that your donations make a huge difference and help children learn and grow. Thank you in advance for your support.
