My students need 60 owl pellets for dissection.

My Students

"Give a hoot", and donate to our project. I am taking a group of fifth and sixth graders to a three day, two night outdoor science camp. While at camp, the students will study owls and raptors. The owl pellets will help them to better understand these awesome creatures.

My students live in an urban environment.

More then half of these students are economically disadvantaged (as they qualify for a free or reduced price lunch). They love to perform hands-on activities. This project (owl pellet dissection) will engage my students. I am sure of it! Please help these children by funding our project!

My Project

These owl pellets will allow my students to explore food chains in a hands-on way. The dissection activity will also tie into many of the other activities we will facilitate at camp to improve my students' understanding of this difficult science topic. The dissection of these owl pellets will keep and hold the interest of my students!

This project is important because it offers these children a chance to experience an activity which is otherwise, not possible!

I am confident that science camp, and the owl pellet activity, will enhance my students' interest in science.
