My students need three sets of pitching machine balls and a softball bat so that they can learn how to hit.

My Students

The opportunity to participate in high school sports is diminishing greatly in our time of great economic hardship.

In Michigan, many of our students come from families in which only one parent may be working due to the lack of jobs and the economic recession.

With such a sinking economy, the school that I work at has completely cut the athletic budget. With that said, the students are having to fundraise just to be able to pay umpires so that they can play. That leaves no money to buy necessary equipment. We have been fortunate enough to have someone donate a softball pitching machine, but we need balls and a bat to use with that machine.

My Project

By helping to purchase these supplies, you are giving these students the opportunity to build skills in teamwork as well as giving them a safe and nurturing environment to go to after school. You will also be helping them to build their confidence in athletics and giving them a chance to be proud of themselves and the things that they can accomplish, which will help them throughout life.

By pledging to support this project, you are making a difference in the lives of 30 young girls.

You are helping to build their self confidence and giving them the necessary skills to be a team player for the rest of their lives!
