My Students

I am a proud Kindergarten teacher in South Carolina. My school is comprised of low income students; most of which are on free or reduced lunch. I love teaching and my students love coming to school!

This year, I am a bit exasperated because we don't have any paper.

We have had limited funds in recent years, and this year seems to be the worst. In this proposal I am asking for writing paper, drawing paper, and an assortment of colors of construction paper. My children love to practice writing and drawing but lack the materials to do so. I can't even have them practice these essential skills at home because they don't have paper there either.

My Project

We use construction paper everyday for journals, for holiday projects such as pumpkins or hearts, for cards, for paper bag puppets, for painting. There are so many uses in Kindergarten that it's impossible to list them all. However, I have had to limit these opportunities due to our lack of resources.

I can't tell you how much this project means to me and my class.

Thanks to all who are able to donate to this project. We know times are tough for everyone and are so appreciative for this opportunity.
