My Students

Mission Impossible: School Science Fair...pick a topic--any topic! Where do I start? What do I do? Where do I learn hands on minds on science?

We are a public charter school in our nation's capitol and our goal for this school year is excellence!

Our pursuit of academic excellence as well as teachers' professional excellence compels us to step up our game on the education front. Our expectations of excellence motivate students, staff and community to put up or shut up.

My Project

Bill Nye the Science Guy has made learning science simple, engaging and fun! Students will no longer struggle to use science vocabulary and will see the connections to science in things all around. There is learning to be done and a world to be conquered. Students are more confident when they have some level of mastery of a subject.

This DVD series will inspire young learners to explore and want to know more.

Where was this guy when I was in elementary school? After viewing one video with a group of second graders, students were excited and anxious to get started on their science fair projects. Thess DVDs will give them the boost that they need to know that science is doable.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
