See Science. See Science with A Camera. Go Science Go.

My students need digital cameras to record and document science experiments and events that they experience in science class.

My Students

Students come to me to experience science only a few days out of every week. In that time, a lot can change in a science experiment. The kids might miss the rust forming, the flower buds opening, or the silt settling at the bottom of the water table.

My class is a science classroom for first through sixth graders in a public Harbor school.

We have science several days out of every week and we must cover earth, life and physical science during the year. The kids love coming to science and they love to learn about their world.

My Project

My students could really use some digital cameras to document the changes that take place in our classroom experiments. Cameras would allow us a way to record the scientific process and to revisit an experiment that happened days before for review purposes. Events that take place quickly could be broken down into a series of photos to allow for study and discussion. In addition, steps in an experiment could be captured for sharing in a PowerPoint or for students who missed seeing the event for themselves. Cameras would be an outstanding tool for archiving previously learned material and units for review. Vocabulary words could be demonstrated and photographed for practice and for sharing with students who have been absent. Cameras would allow students to hold onto their science experiences just a little longer.

The students of today will be the scientists of tomorrow.

What a great way to bring my science class into this century by giving kids the chance to be real scientists and to record their science findings in a digital way.
