Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Sometimes its easy to let the obstacles we face overcome learning. I see this every morning when I come to school. Many of my students lack clean clothes and healthy breakfasts. However, once we enter our classroom, we are transported to a world of learning, where anything is possible.
As I mentioned, many of my students lack basic necessities, let alone having luxuries. I try to use everything and anything I can to provide them with new and fun ways to learn, so that not only are they learning, but they are truly enjoying every minute in our classroom.
We are asking for an iMac computer, printer ink, and printer paper. With a new computer and the fantastic software that comes with it, my students can create all kinds of projects, from recording themselves reading to illustrating their writing on the computer. In addition to this, we do have a color printer-- however we have no ink and are given very little paper from school. Our printer has been collecting dust because of this, and its time to change that!
With your help, you can making learning fun and enjoyable. We can most definitely learn with the basics that we have, but with your help with can give these students some luxuries that they might not otherwise experience.
