Please help me "go green" with technology. I am a second grade teacher in a public school district. We only have 2 computers in our classroom and the question I hear most is: "Can I get on the computer today?" "When is it my turn?"

My students have varied needs and the iPod touch will help to differentiate student learning levels and promote successful experiences in the classroom. I serve many active students excited about learning, yet bored with paper and pencil activities. Getting students hooked and engaged in school is a battle that every classroom teacher faces. Based on past experiences, I know that technology is one tool that always gets students focused and engaged in learning. This is one of the reasons that I am working hard to fund iPod touches for my student's daily use.

The idea is simple: a classroom with no book, no paper, and no copies, yet an open window with endless opportunities for learning! I will be able to individualize learning in different subject areas thus ensuring that the needs and interests of each student is met.

Supporting this project will help me hook and engage ALL students while preparing them for the future.
