I currently teach all subjects in a fourth grade classroom. I am a recent recipient of the Keystone award in Pennsylvania for technology integration.

Just doing my best to integrate the use of technology in my classroom to make the students ready for the future. There is currently not a lot of equipment to do that, and I'm trying to change that fact.

To try and fill this void I am trying to supply my classroom with IPod touches, which are a very versatile piece of equipment. Through the app store, we can make these devices fill any gaps we currently have in our technological need. Which is why I have chosen this piece of technology for this project. I recently purchased an IPod touch for my classroom with my own funds. It has been wonderful! Through the app store we have been able to use it for lots of projects. From geography through google earth, to practicing fast facts, using the dictionary, as well as researching on the internet, just to name a few. With that in mind I am trying to obtain two more Ipods so that more kids will be able to use them. So this device won't just let us do one project, but many projects. Thank you for considering donating to our classroom.

This will allow me to assign most small groups in my classroom with their own piece of technology, preparing them for the 21st century and beyond.
