Pura Belpre Winners for our ESL Readers

My students need one copy each of the recent Pure Belpre Award winners to use in their ESL/Media instruction.

Diverse school needs bilingual books. I teach in a school with a growing English Language Learner population and need to build our library's collection to meet their needs.

I recently worked with the ESL staff to build up our bilingual non-fiction collection, but we did not have the available funds to purchase these award winning picture books too.

The Pura Belpre Award winners best "portray, affirm, and celebrate the Latino cultural experience in outstanding works of literature for children and youth." These books will inspire text-to-self connections for my ESL students.

Your donation will allow my students the opportunity to read books that speak to their native cultures and expose them to characters to whom they can relate.
