We are in the home stretch to the end of the school year, and this is the time of year that DC teachers are scrambling around to find, buy or create consumable supplies. We are a public charter school in our nation's capitol in crisis!

We have been cutting, pasting, reading, writing, drawing and dictating so frantically that we did not stop to take stock of classroom materials. We now need to restock construction paper and glue sticks so as to finish this school year strong.

A variety of colors of the rainbow help students to recognize and name new colors, specifically magenta, turquoise and lilac. We are increasing our vocabulary as well as having materials on hand to create interactive bulletin boards and simple projects with students.

Through your generosity, ours has been a well stocked classroom. Students are actively engaged and actually look forward to coming to school each day. That's half the battle won! Children love learning, teachers love teaching, and that is what school is meant to be. Thanks for your cooperative efforts with Donors Choose to get these resources into students' hands.
