Tumbling Towers of Testing Tutorials

My students need 6 Jenga games.

This project expired on July 11, 2010.

My classroom is a wonderful world of learning and fun! I teach fifth grade in a rural community. My students are primarily of low socio-economic status. Together we study Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. We spend our days moving, thinking, growing, cooperating, learning, and having fun.

As much as we may not like it, testing is a fact of life. It happens to us all. When you're a kid, testing can be a difficult and stressful experience. Students know grades are important and want to do well, but sometimes just aren't motivated by paper and pencil work.

I work hard to find new and inventive ways to introduce, teach, and review materials with students. I want them to learn, but more importantly, I want them to love learning and keep coming back for more. To make this happen, I would like to have 6 Jenga games to use for reviewing for the chapter and unit tests my students are required to take. These games will help turn what could be a boring review session into an active, hands-on lesson that students look forward to taking part in again and again. Not only will the Jenga games help my students stay interested in the material they must review, but they will also help students practice the important skill of cooperation.

Your help with this project will allow me to bring learning to life for my students. Through your donation, students will be able to work together, practice vital material, and do it all with a smile. You have the power to help my students love to learn!
