I teach Visual Arts at a new rural area school. My responsibilities include teaching Kindergarten through 5th grades students. About 60% of our students are in the high needs category.

We are a brand new school, which means that we started with nothing. We are gradually getting some of the items that we need, but still lack some necessary items. All of the budget cut backs have preventing us from ordering some of the necessary supplies that an Art class needs, such as glue sticks. My kindergarten and first grade students don't have the fine motor skills to handle glue bottles and have a hard time squeezing and trailing at the same time. Glue sticks make their job so much easier!

Glue sticks are what they need. Making gluing easier insures that my kids will be successful and enjoy the process of creating in Art. The last thing we need is for a Kindergarten or 1st grade student to get stressed out! We want them to enjoy the process of creating.

Being able to glue successfully might seem like a small thing, but to a Kindergarten student it is something big. They want their projects to look good and not all smeared and wrinkled with big kid glue. Help my little ones to be successful and to be proud of their art creations.
