I am a kindergarten teacher in a low income area. I have a large classroom with absolutely no built in storage space. Our supplies are scattered all over the room and my students have to hunt for the things that they need throughout the day.

I teach my students throughout the year to be responsible, respectful, and resourceful. I want them to be responsible for their own learning and know how to find the things they need to to complete their work throughout the day. With the challenging expectations of kindergarten today, I don't have time to worry about taking attendance, sharpening pencils or passing out glue and scissors. I teach my students simple morning routines and how to become independent workers and thinkers. They learn how to take attendance, answer a morning question and where to find the basic classroom supplies that they need throughout the day.

This all purpose cart will allow my students to become responsible as well as resourceful. It will organize all of the supplies that they need throughout the day. It will provide space for the morning attendance, a pocket chart for the daily question as well as bins that can store glue, crayons, scissors, and paper. They will be able to come in mornings and go straight to the cart to do their morning routines and find all of the supplies that they need for their day.

With your help my students can get the organizational skills that they need to become independent workers. It is very important that my students learn this valuable character trait early in life to ensure that they become successful, independent learners.
