My students need copies of books that they can read together to strengthen their skills. They love the Magic Tree House Series. It is a wonderful way to read fantasy and learn about real places at the same time. My students live in a rural area and many do not have access to books at home. So, I have a collection at school that is of interest to them. Second grade students get excited when they can read chapter books. The Magic Tree House Series are a great place for them to start, because they are exciting stories that are fairly easy to read. My Project: I have selected several classic books for my class library. I think it is important for children to have exposure to all kinds of books, but the classics are vital to every library. Then the Magic Tree House Books are quite popular and my students actually argue over who will read the next book. That is why I want to add to my Magic Tree House Collection. This project is important because it is important to inspire children to read at a young age. This project will help to build my young readers' skills so they can be lifelong readers. hide» My students need multiple copies of 10 fiction and non-fiction books for guided reading groups. details»
