Welcome to the most beautiful classroom! New furniture, new chairs, technologically advanced but no supplies...I try and replenish my room as much as I can, but I am falling short. I need help getting supplies for my students to create anything! Once I get excited about a project, I am let down by cost. Everything is just too much money for me to get myself. I am resourceful and I teach to preserve...but it's hard to teach at all without any supplies!

The obstacle? Creating a mask with plaster strips after learning about masks from cultures around the world. When you create a mask with plaster strips, the mask will be formed to the students face. It is something that will reflect their own identity as well as well as their alter-ego. It can be an expressive and fun way to show appreciation for other cultures and the process that is involved is super exciting.

The solution? I need some plaster strips. Enough for all my classes to participate. I am a BIG fan of Art History and find masks from all different cultures fascinating. They are fun to learn about and would be even more fun if the project that followed the history lesson was actually making a mask! Something tangible. Something that could last! Something they can be proud of. Plaster Strips would allow students the whole experience of creating a mask.

With your help and understanding of learning about cultures around the world, my students will create a wonderful project that they can be proud of. Something they can wear in public, and something they can appreciate and remember.
