My Students

It's so hot in here! Can you imagine trying to study math in a stuffy, hot classroom? We love our weather in Hawaii, but the year-round heat is difficult to combat when teaching and learning.

I teach at a small public school in rural Hawaii.

We are a very small, tight knit community. My students are loving, caring, fantastic young people who deserve every opportunity. We work hard every day in school so that my students can work towards a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their community.

My Project

My students will learn everything better in a comfortable learning environment. I don't blame them when they are upset walking into a room with no air circulating when the weather is 90+ degrees! No one should have to work in that kind of condition. When my students are comfortable and happy, they are more likely to learn and LOVE Algebra! Please help us obtain a few fans in the room to keep the air circulating and our brains working! We will take good care of these four fans so they will benefit many classes for years to come.

Classroom environment is a huge part in setting children up for success in learning.

Our small community has students who are going to do great things, and it starts with their successful years in middle and high school.
