My Students

I teach a group of energetic 12th graders in the great Show-Me State! Holding true to our state motto, I want to show you what my students are capable of in the classroom! We have big goals for the year, and a plan to reach them. We are located in a high-need community, and have no budget.

My students are taking Earth Science and AP Environmental Science, and one of our big goals is to achieve an 80% mastery on our final exams!

In order to do this, we are pushing hard until the end of the year, which is right around the corner! We have been trying out new ways to learn material, and we have great idea, only we need your help...

My Project

We want to receive a class set of clickers to make our classroom more interactive. Clickers will allow ALL students to answer questions, respond to polls, and even take exams! These clickers are like T.V. remotes, except they report their responses directly to the screen! I can see who has answered correctly, who has not, and who is not participating in a matter of seconds, allowing me to adjust my instruction immediately. I can also re-teach misconceptions that are obvious through the instant feedback. Students will benefit by having instruction target their specific needs, and making the class fun! We can even play jeopardy style review games.
