My students need dice, foam dice, and dice games to sharpen their math skills.

Those little dots on dice can add up to big math skills. My eager second grade students need a bridge between concrete objects and abstract symbols. Playing dice games is a fun way to accomplish this goal.

This group of children loves to play games. They stay focused and engaged for long periods of time while playing games. We have one dice game for addition that the children clamor to play. With new games and dice for all the children, game time could be a great learning time.

The math activity book will give us new games at a variety of learning levels to play. The dice will make playing the games possible. Having dot and number dice will extend the connection between concrete and abstract learning. With a stronger foundation of the basics, these children will be equipped to tackle higher level math skills and problem solving.

With your help the second graders will have an opportunity to practice their math facts and extend their understanding of basic math concepts. This will provide a foundation for future math success. By working together little will become much!
