Read! Read! Read! I am a reading specialist in an intermediate school in rural community located in upstate NY. I teach grades 3-5.

Students have difficulty transitioning from one skill to another in their reading. Once we have learned one skill and it is time for another, there is no carry over.

By having various games, students will learn that they are using multiple strategies and that we need to incorporate them into all areas. Also, the games will reinforce skills they are learning in their classroom as well as in the reading room. Students will find this fun and engaging.

It is extremely important that my students be hands on and engaged in every activity. You can make this possible!
