My students need assorted bookmarks.

I am the librarian at an inner city school of 420 students and YES I teach!! I teach PreK children all the way up to 5th grade. We are a community school so our door is always open. The library is the "living room" of our school. All sorts of activities happen in our library from parents' activities to staff meetings to H1N1 vaccinations to concerts and yes, even reading and learning. I love my library and I love my school!!

I am teaching our children to understand that the books in the library are not my books but that the books belong to them. I purchase the books that I hope they will love to read. They also are learning to take care of their books. One of the steps of book care is to use a bookmark and not to "dog ear" the page.

I would love to have some bookmarks that the children can use with the library books. The smallest things really excite these children and we have not had any bookmarks to pass out to them all year.

These bookmarks will inspire them to read as well as help teach them the importance of taking good care of the library books.
