I teach gifted children in a high-poverty elementary school. My students are voracious readers, and they would love to be able to hold literature circle discussions, but we just don't have the multiple copies of books necessary for such a project.

My students are eager to explore various genres of literature. They love working in groups, and we are hoping to get multiple copies of interesting books so that we can all read and discuss books together.

We are asking for 12 copies of six different titles, including "Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos," "The End of the Beginning," and "From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler." These books will help us begin to build a "library" for the Gifted & Talented Room. We are all anxious to have access to interesting and exciting books to read and discuss.

Your donation will help my students develop a love of literature that will last a lifetime. You will be putting good books into the hands of eager young children, some of whom can't afford books in their homes. Your help will allow us to begin building a classroom library that will benefit dozens of children over the years.
