The Mighty Buffaloes want to become filmmakers! I am a middle school library media specialists. We are a grade 6-8 middle magnet school in an urban community where more than 70% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Our magnet school attracts students who wish to learn through hands-on technology integrated into their classes. Our students love creating video podcasts, book-trailers, and other alternative assessment projects using video. Thus far we've been utilizing the video camera on my cell phone and the cell phones of some students, but video quality is poor and students aren't allowed to bring my cell phone home with them to complete projects :-)

We are asking for 1 Flip Video UltraHD Camcorder to improve the quality and creativity students can demonstrate in their work. Students will use the camera to make video book-trailers, reports, documentaries for History Fair, and a multitude of other cross-curricular projects.

Your help will make it possible for my students to express their creativity and knowledge through video. Most of my students will not have the opportunity to use video equipment outside of the school environment. We may be inspiring a future filmmaker!!!
