My students need 8 independent math centers that they can use during our math workshop centers and phonics hands-on activities!

I have 26 wonderful learners in my classroom. This year half of the students speak a language other than English at home with their families. Despite their differences they all have one thing in common, a desire to learn about math! They enjoy learning and exploring, especially with hands-on activities since most of them do not have these materials at home. My students would love to enjoy succeeding independently with materials that allow them to grow as learners!
During our day we have a math center time. They love center time! During this time they work in four different groups rotating in stations between myself, and three manipulative stations. This is a time that I can give small group math coaching to all the students in the classroom. However, some students need materials that are at their level since they are struggling. They need materials for measurement, learning shapes, sorting, patterning, graphing, and estimating to help them work independently.
These wonderful Lakeshore activities would enlighten these children in many different areas of exploration that we are working on in small group, but in an exciting and fun way. They won’t even know they are learning! These centers will allow the children to work independently or with multiple partners. It will allow the children to choose what they would like to work on giving them more inspiration!
As a teacher, I would love to provide these students and my future students with engaging materials for math that correlate with our whole group work that is exciting! Your help will make it possible for my students to experience different kinds of learning to expand their knowledge with manipulatives. These children are at different levels in learning and these materials will allow them to grow as learners. They need as much support as they can get. With your donation, you will make it possible for my students to learn in a fun and educational way.
