Reading Is Fun With Hot Dots!

My students need a class set of Hot Dots Reading Comprehension Quiz Cards and 32 Hot Dots Power Pens.

I am a grade 6 Language Arts Literacy teacher in a high-need community. I teach a variety of academic levels within my classroom. My classes consist of general education, ELL, and special needs students.

My students struggle with reading comprehension skills. It is difficult to compete with the various media outlets that are provided to today's children. Students would rather watch a movie than read a book. I want to bring back excitement to reading!

I was recently introduced to the Hot Dots program and knew my students would love it! If I had the Hot Dots program, my students would be able to read a short story/article and answer questions related to that piece using the Hot Dot Pen. Students would be given an immediate response as to whether they are correct or incorrect. I just know my students would love working with such resources! It would be sure to boost their reading comprehension skills in a fun and exciting way!
