Shakespeare had to start somewhere!!! Creative Minds require a place to release the poems, plays, novels, and ramblings. I teach at a high school that is full of creativity but has no where to express it.

We have all heard of "Freedom Writers" and the wonders that were released for those students. My school does not have a Creative Writing Class, does not have a space in the school newspaper for students to spread their literary wings, and does not have a Literary Journal. For the past 4 years I have been supplying my students with the journals. I need help now.

The Composition Journals will allow a student to express how she feels after being raped (my first time having journals), will allow a young man who is having trouble coping with the loss of his father in Iraq to release the fears he has (2nd set), will allow a student who is terrified to go home because of the abuse that she endures on a daily basis to escape reality for just a moment (3rd time), or will simply encourage a student to start a novel about romance and the trials of high school (4th time). Who am I to stop them from starting something that could empower their lives, help them to grow as individuals, or just escape reality for just a moment.
