Earth Science rocks, but the only materials my students have to help them learn about it is... one set of rocks! I teach Secondary Science at a charter school for students with ADD, ADHD, and autism. The school is located in a high-need community.

My students are anxious to study Earth Science, but we currently do not have any materials available, except for a set of rocks. There are no textbooks, audiovisual materials, manipulatives, or laboratory supplies available to help the students learn about the topics in Earth Science. I do not have a Science budget, and little money is provided to purchase Science materials. The students need to learn about Earth Science to meet state standards and to help prepare them for basic college Science courses.

My students learn best through hands-on experiences. The Earth Science DVD set covers major topics in Earth Science and presents hands-on experiments/activities to be done in the classroom to reinforce the concepts presented. Thus, an the DVDs will provide basic information in an interesting way, while leading my students into the hands-on activities they need to truly learn the concepts.

Your help will ensure that my students are able to investigate Earth Science, preparing them for basic college Science courses while satisfying state standards and their curiosity!
