Help us stay on point! I am a 2nd grade special education teacher in a NY public school. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood and is a school in need of review for the second year in a row.

My class is made up of both general education and special education students. It is a real joy watching the general education students step up and support their friends in overcoming their disabilities. Unfortunately, we have been lacking a class pencil sharpener now for about 3 months. We have resorted to using handheld sharpeners which is taking away from the time we have to work. We also have a lot of pencils from dollar stores that just do not write, sharpen, or erase well. It is very frustrating for these creative young minds who just want to get their ideas down.

If we have a heavy duty pencil sharpener and quality pencils we will be able to sharpen pencil after pencil! Our new sharpener will not burn out on us like our other three sharpeners. We will finally be able to produce beautiful work without worrying about having a decently sharpened pencil!

I don't know about you, but when I want to do my best work, I make sure I have a freshly sharpened pencil. You can make it possible for my twenty-five students to create their best work by donating a heavy duty pencil sharpener and packages of quality pencils to our class! We will be forever thankful to you for helping us to stay on point!
