Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

What does this word mean? I hear this a lot during the day. In second grade, vocabulary is hard for 7 year olds. With the use of these vocabulary journals my students will be able to write down our words for the week and illustrate them. The journals will be put to more use when we are writing stories with the blank story paper. This is a great way to learn and have fun! The highlighter tape will be used when we read the kids can place the tape over the vocabulary words for the week and when we are reading our story they will be able to recognize them instantly. WOW! What a great concept to use. I can't wait to see my second graders smiling from ear to ear when we are going over our vocabulary words. I teach in a Title I school. Our school is made up of 43% Hispanic population. Our state is going through a rough year on teaching funding. We did not receive state funding this year because of the economic status. With your help my kids can receive these great materials. I have been VERY blessed through Donors Choose and people like you for helping my classroom. Thank you for helping classrooms like mine.
