I teach and counsel small groups of students in K-5th grade. My school is in a low income area and we are a TITLE I school. The students' levels of ability vary greatly. They come to school every morning for breakfast and then off to the classroom ready to learn.

An HP laptop would give students access to the computer at any given time. A classroom laptop would be beneficial, as educational web-sites are readily available at all skill levels.

An HP laptop computer will give the children, especially those who do not have access to a computer at home, the opportunity to use one at school. Using a laptop will give my students a sense of independence. They would be able to access new online Weekly Readers as well as download leveled books to print off for use in the classroom and at home.

Your gift would be a opportunity to allow my students to access the computer more frequently than they do now. Lessons will be more engaging and exciting with the use of technology!
