Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach second grade in a high-needs urban elementary school which still has furniture from the 1960's.

The 1960's tables are a huge distraction to my students learning! They are ragged, chipped, and wobble every time they write. They are often too small and their knees are crunched under the table for 7 hours a day!

New modern tables will make my students feel welcomed and valued when they come in every morning and are able to work comfortably and successfully. When their environment is more comfortable they are much more animated and excited to do their work.

Your donation will prove to my students that their education is important. It will also show them that complete strangers care about their learning environment.
