Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach health and wellness in an urban school district. My mission is to educate my tenth graders healthy living strategies that will last a life time.

Obesity and Obesity related health issues have now surpassed smoking as the number one cause of preventable premature death. Students need to be educated and informed to enable them to mk healthy choices through out their lives.

I want my students to have models as visual, hands on lessons on what fat and muscle actually look like. I want them to wear the fat belt to help them understand what just a five pound difference can make to their body weight.

We need your help. With your donation you will enable me to leave a real impact on my students perspective of fat to muscle ratio. We have to arm our children with the information that will keep healthy through our their lives
