I teach 9th through 12th grade, Living Environment and IB Environmental Systems and Societies. I am in a suburban school in New York.

While money is allotted for books and regular school supplies the administration fails to realize the importance of students exposure to technology. The students in my Environmental Systems class are looking to pursue the Environmental Sciences in college and are at a disadvantage if they have never before recorded field data on a tablet computer.

Students need a tablet computer to give them the experience they need recording data in the field. Recording data on paper is difficult and can be easily lost. Not to mention this method is antiquated in today's science community.

You will make it possible for my students to receive the knowledge base they need to be successful in college and their future careers. You may make the difference and inspire the next great green revolution!
