Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a third grade teacher in a lower economic area. Many of my students receive free or reduced lunch.

Due to extreme budget cuts we have had to give up many of our field trips. The school and the parents are unable to pay for the expense of taking buses for field trips. Instead we take many walking field trips to near by location.

The problem with walking field trips is safety. We have to cross many busy streets and walk along busy roads. My fear is that a car may not see the students and hit one of them. I am looking for someone to buy us these safety vests to wear when we go on our walking field trips. These vests will not only be used by my students, but other students in the school as well when they go on their walking field trips.
