As a teacher of Language Arts, I encourage my students to think creatively and critically. We spend a great deal of time in the discussion of literature and in the writing process. What my class is missing right now is a few tools that will allow us to incorporate a wealth of creativity and information into our classroom. Those tools are a projector and a projector screen. If my classroom possessed these items, my students would be able to: ?Demonstrate their understanding of a novel or skill by doing a PowerPoint presentation to the class, ?Strengthen their presentation skills, ?Be introduced to a variety of information via United Streaming (an online tool that allows teachers and students to view video clips in various educational areas), ?Be inspired by various visual stimuli, including pictures and quotes, for creative writing, ?View examples of writing to evaluate and edit as a class, ?Engage in various games, such as classroom Jeopardy, as a review tool for tests. These are only a few of the ways that my students would benefit from a projector. I know that my students would be extremely grateful for the opportunities that these tools would give them.
