Hands on ESL Scientists

My students need hands-on materials such as diffraction grating, magnifying viewers, mirrors, test tubes, and crayfish specimens to complete our classroom science unit materials.

My classroom curriculum is very engaging with tactile and kinesthetic learning. This public school 3rd grade classroom consists of English as a second language students who speak Russian, Spanish, and Korean.

This year my classroom budget was decreased by 50% due to lack of funding. English as a second language students tend to struggle with learning in content areas such as science.

Our science energy unit needs diffraction grating, simple machines, and mirrors. The unit on characteristics of organisms and their environment needs test tubes, magnifying viewers, and crayfish.

Your help will ensure my students have the proper materials for learning in these areas of science. You will make it possible for these English language learners to make connections to vocabulary and understanding other scientific phenomenon.
