Where is the classroom located?

"Birthday books are something that the students look forward to each year. I am the librarian at our small urban school and am continually looking for ways to get more books into the hands of students. These students mostly come from low income households and have limited resources to purchase books..." more»

Each year on their birthday, I invite the students to come to the library and we celebrate with cake and each person has the opportunity to receive a book of their choice.

The books selected in this proposal will provide enough books for about one third of our student body. Each time a student receives a book of their choice, they are highly motivated to read and care for it.

You will make it possible for each student to receive a book and expand their learning horizons. hide»
