Classroom Supplies For Differential Learning Activities

My students need card stock, markers, dry erase markers, poster board, and a few others supplies to help with our differentiated learning activities.

I am one of the science teachers in our small rural school. We have about 250 students in our high school, but many of them take the upper lever science courses. For our size of school, we have a lot of students who take college prep. science classes. We believe that they can all do it, and they can all learn if given the right conditions.

In order for us to use the differentiated learning activities that studies show really help with student comprehension, we need more supplies. We need the markers, cardstock, dry erase markers, tape, poster board, and post-it notes for student use. These are all pieces that can come together to make great learning activities. We have purchased a classroom set of individual dry erase/magnetic boards, but now we need more markers. We need cardstock to make the vocab lists to use with the magnetic side. We need marker and poster board for student presentations. The students really do learn more when we can do these activities, but without ample supplies, much less is accomplished.

These resources will allow all students to be actively engaged in the activity at the same time. Right now we have to take turns, and that wastes valuable instructional time.

We believe that they can all do it, and they can all learn if given the right conditions. These are a few of the supplies that I need to make those conditions right. The students need the basics to be prepared for college, and these resources will help them get a good solid base of fundamental science for college.
