I currently teach Kindergarten in an Empowerment school in Nevada. Our school wide focus is the arts and one of the most important arts is writing. As Kindergartners it is important to develop their love of writing.

As it is currently, the writing program I am using does not fully meet the needs of my students. It does not develop their creativity and love of writing. I want them to be passionate about writing and this program would do just that.

This program will benefit my students in more ways than I can explain. Writing is a skill that is not easily taught and programs like Being a Writer develop writing skills that will stay with children for years to come. This program would do that with my emergent learners. As beginning learners it is important to me that my students develop a love of learning and writing.

I can not explain how many students you would be benefiting by donating to this program. My students would not only develop life long writing skills, but it would empower them to be passionate about writing for the rest of their lives.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
