Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 5th grade CTT at a low-income school. This community needs help, and I help out wherever and whenever I can. I buy snacks, books, folders, pencils, sharpeners, and so much more. These students just deserve everything that the richer schools can afford. New York is hurting and so is my school. Please help me out.

My students are reading on many different levels. The materials I have are not in abundance, and I do not have enough materials to pass around. Along comes ELMO...not the Sesame Street guy. The ELMO is greatly needed in my classroom. I can place any piece of text under this projector and every child will be able to see it on my classroom wall. I can point to each and every word, photo, caption, graph, timeline, or heading. Every child will be able to follow along.

These students and every student I teach in the future will have pieces of text readily available for them to view. These students do not have families at home with reading materials. They do not go to the library every week. They do not have bookcases full of books. I have so many books in my classroom but I want the children to see them - BIG and CLEAR.

Your help is greatly needed. This one projector will help many students and it will help empower me too. Please help me out. It will be so greatly appreciated. These children are wonderful and deserve so much more than I could give.
