Imagine walking through a living museum of the Civil War made by 5th graders. I am the 5th grade science teacher at a gifted and talented school. The students I teach are extremely motivated to create amazing things. These students love to go above and beyond and share what they learn with as many people as they can touch.

The Civil War was such a traumatic yet defining time in the history of America. This year we want to create a museum all about the Civil War. We need lots of books to help the students get the information they need to make it a success!

Our library is a great one but it only has a few books on the Civil War era. This grant is full of books that are based on the different booths we will have at the museum. The 5th graders will make the museum and the entire school will walk through and know everything about the Civil War when they finish their tour.

You will make it possible for the students to create something amazing. This will be something that the students will never forget...the students that create the museum or the students that walk through the museum. This will inspire them to learn more history through books, science, math, and music. We would love for you to join us and tour our museum that you can help the students create!
